Why I blog....as I admit defeat from a 13-mo old!

Sometimes I question why I blog...it takes time away from my family on an already busy schedule, it's hard to find your own voice and be somewhat different than all the other bloggers out there, but it's nights like tonight that remind me why I blog. Blogging gives me an outlet to do something outside of work, outside of family life, outside of everything else....time to just get away!

Tonight, I needed an opportunity to just get away. It was one of those nights where no matter what, my son would not fall asleep. After nearly 1.5 hours of trying, I admitted defeat and my husband took over. I'll admit, I can't do tough love for long...I can listen to him cry for about 5 minutes before trying to rock him to sleep, but eventually I admit defeat. After rocking him to sleep 5 different times tonight only to have him wake up when I laid him down, I just couldn't take it anymore, so I return to blogging. And if you know me, I truly couldn't take it anymore. I am no super-mom, as much as I try. I am lucky to have a very caring husband that loves his boys more than anything else out there and who is willing to be screamed at until the boy cries himself to sleep! I am wishing him luck as the crying continues. For now, I will try not to cry like a baby myself, enjoy a glass of wine, and hunt for a bargain or two! Wish me luck in better nights of sleep!
Hunting for bargains is a hobby for me, so hopefully digging for those bargains and sharing them with you makes this outlet worthwhile for not only me, but for you too! If you have something you're looking for, please let me know!

Been there, done that -- I hear you!! He will grow out of it -- I'm really happy you have such a thoughtful husband. Happy shopping, and if you find a bathing suit that is under $50 that can fit someone who doesn't look like Twiggy, with REAL woman curves -- let me know!! Thanks, and get some sleep.
