Finding Me Mondays - 4lbs down this week, many more to go!

This week's weigh in! I haven't taken pictures yet, except with my kids and I use them to hide me normally, but I will and measurements when I can figure out where my boys put the tape measure! Still avoiding the camera but my husband keeps threatening..so soon there will be pics - promise!
Monday, June 21st: 203.5 lbs, Size 14
Monday, June 28th: 200.0 lbs, Size 14
Monday, July 5th: 196.5 lbs, Size 14 (fitting a little looser)
This week I cut out soda, and made a complete switch to plain iced tea and water, and really watched my diet except for a friend's puppy shower where I still ate goat cheese grits and Italian Cream Cake (both very yummy, just in moderation). I noticed this week that I wasn't really hungry...reading some online forums, it looks like that may be a result of the artificial sweeteners...something to think about if you're having trouble loosing weight or always feeling hungry!

I am limited physcially (my heart just can't take streneous exercise due to an arrythmia) in hard exercise. I'm still avoiding asking my husband (who only weighs 145 lbs) to get everything for me except during my 24-hour sickness day Friday through Saturday when I re-did my blog header and found some new review places because all I could do was sit still or I felt like my head would explode! I still park a little farther back in the parking lot to get some extra walking in when I go shopping and take the stairs.

I'm motivated to lose the weight...and ready to drop another 20 lbs so that hopefully my heart arrythmia will stop inhibiting my ability to exercise the way I used to...I miss kick-boxing and spinning classes! Really, I just miss being able to be somebody's workout buddy! :( It's amazing what you miss when you are told you can't do something anymore and realize when you push it a little too hard that maybe the doctor wasn't kidding....I still think that 5 to 8 minutes is a little too little, but I'll start at 15 minutes and work up to more! (Sorry for the dis last week, Dr. Shah!)

The red dress hangs prominently in my closest (it blocks all my pants) so I have to look at it every day....it will continue to be my motivation! I am guessing even more motivation will ensue with wearing a swimsuit with my kids at the beach in the next couple of weeks (I dread those days right now, but I don't want to for long)!

PERMANENT POSIES Monday, July 5, 2010 at 9:01:00 AM CDT

Well, first, I like the new look of your blog.
Second, I am sorry about your health issues. Can this be reversed by losing weight?
I obviously haven't started or been motivated but after reading your blog, I am starting today. Don't know what plan yet so I will start with Weight Watchers, since I know that. I am really embarrassed to say how much I weigh online. I wish I could figure out how to put it somewhere on my blog that no one would think to look....as in high school friends who haven't seen me in the last 120 pounds. Pride! Thanks for the post. I will pray for you....and will you for me.

Congratulations on the release of that weight. Never say lose because if you say lose my fat butt will find it lol!!! I know your pain with the inability to exercise. I have sciatica that will not quit. They say I can have surgery but it doesn't guarantee the pain will stop. Ummm... yeah I will waste my money on that idea! When I can move, I try and do callanetics. I break a sweat picking up a fork when I am in pain so trust me its not a bad work out. I pick a few of the exercises and decide I will try those for a week then I pick a few more to do the next week. I am no exercise advocate and wish the word would be outlawed but you should check into them for the lighter exercise option. Oh and I don't like to sweat. I sweat standing still in the store. With these exercises. . . no sweat but you notice a change in your body shape.

I always assume that when I lose weight it finds someone who never saw it coming...more fun that way - kind of like the people born skinny! (Sorry if you're one of them)!
