Finding Me Mondays - Vacation Sucks for Staying on Target!

This week's weigh in (no scale available, so I'll assume no change since my clothes fit the same as last week although I don't feel as good this week with all the diet soda)! I haven't taken pictures yet, except with my kids and I use them to hide me normally, but I will and measurements when I can figure out where my boys put the tape measure! Still avoiding the camera but my husband keeps threatening..so soon there will be pics - promise! We've been on vacation (I just don't post that I'm out of town, we're back now, so I have to say - vacation sucks for staying on target!)
Monday, June 21st: 203.5 lbs, Size 14
Monday, June 28th: 200.0 lbs, Size 14
Monday, July 5th: 196.5 lbs, Size 14 (fitting a little looser)
Monday, July 12th: 196.5 lbs, Size 14 (fitting like last week)
Monday, July 19th: No scale available, Size 14 (fitting like last week - luckily, but guessing that the weight will be up when I weigh in later this week)
This week I drank diet soda because I could only find unsweet tea for sale and didn't have a chance to make my own regular iced tea. I watched my diet but unless I wanted to spend $20 for a salad that was laden with dressing, I had to settle for happy meals (which in themselves aren't bad, I just get tired of eating fast food and prefer some fresh fruits and veggies). I ate desserts in moderation with my kids and skipped the extra calories when I could (like when they were snacking but I wasn't really hungry). I was hungrier this week - guessing it's the diet soda...ready for plain iced tea and water again - so happy to be home in that sense but start traveling for work again soon - ugh, can't win so I think I might have to resort to carrying my instant unsweetened tea with me on travel (which makes me feel rather dorky to say the least)!

I did a lot of walking this week and wearing a swimsuit (ugh)! My heart bothered me when the heat was excessive so I had to slow down a few times...luckily my husband can keep up with the kids, and for the most part I was able to keep up with their non-stop motivation to ride every ride at Sesame Place, run through the pools, run through the Crayola Factory, and play in the sand in Ocean City, MD. I've got some great hints to save time and money when visiting Sesame Place, so I'll try to post those soon - we had a lot of fun even though the GPS sent us on some interesting routes a couple times!

I'm motivated to lose the weight...and ready to drop another 20 lbs so that hopefully my heart arrythmia will stop inhibiting my ability to exercise the way I want too! I am ready to be able to once again climb more than two flights of stairs without getting extremely dizzy...that will be the first sign of improvement!

The red dress hangs prominently in my closest (it blocks all my pants) so I have to look at it every day....it will continue to be my motivation! I am guessing even more motivation will ensue with wearing a swimsuit with my kids at the beach in the next couple of weeks (I dread those days right now, but I don't want to for long)!

Join me in the journey of finding yourself, whether it's weight loss or something else by linking up below! We could all use some support!

Good, good morning to you Beth. I'm so on-board with you and this weight thing. I find that my husband is a real downer in my weight-loss program. He loves to eat...and will eat anything and everything. But the man doesn't have a weight issue so it really gets difficult.
The red dress? Yeah, I've got a half dozen outfits/dresses in my closet just waiting for the tinier me to show up.
Keep it up. They say it can happen. (Who's 'they', anyway?)
Have a great day. Rest some. Blog often.

Thanks! I appreciate the comments...in the same post as the red dress is my husband's motivation...he's getting better about offering me sweets. At least he used to be overweight so he understands but he can eat anything now!
