Review & Giveaway: Ziploc bags & containers - CLOSED

This giveaway has ended!  Thanks for entering!
I received a selection of Ziploc bags and containers just in time for sending my son back to preschool, us trying to get the house organized, and getting to the time of year when we start preparing more foods on the weekend and freezing them because it just seems that we are running out of time by the time we get home from work every night as a member of the Family Review Network!  The selection of Ziploc sandwich bags, Storage Slider Bags (freezer and regular) and Ziploc Medium Square Containers with the Smart Snap Seal have been perfect.

We have always purchased Ziploc bags in the past, but typically we purchase just the standard Ziploc bags and they just don't hold up as well in the freezer as the freezer bags we were able to review.  I was impressed that the Ziploc® Brand Slider Bags features a slider closure and an expandable bottom that opens into a flat base, so that the bag stays upright making  it easy to fill. Plus, these bags feature Ziploc's Smart Zip™ seal—so you can hear the bag close and feel confident your food is protected.  In addition to using the bags, we have repeatedly used the square containers for holding leftovers and taking our own lunches to work that need reheating.  If you've read my blog before, you know that I love products that are microwave and dishwasher safe, and these containers are both!  In addition, I like how easy it is to control portions in these containers since there are measurement lines on the sides of the container too!

Ziploc bags and containers are also great for organizing too!  We have used them for keeping the kid's finger paints in one place, and giving us the peace of mind that they won't spill.  In addition, we use Ziploc bags and containers as craft bins or busy bags/boxes on rainy days!  We fill them with a random assortment of stickers, markers, crayons, glue sticks, and pom poms, and let them decorate construction paper to their hearts content!  The slider bags are much easier for this too than standard Ziploc baggies!

Ziploc products are available in grocery, mass merchandise and drug stores nationwide with great reasonable prices and SC Johnson typically offers coupons on a regular basis too!

Ziploc Brand Sandwich Bags $1.09 - $3.49
Ziploc Brand Freezer Slider Bags - $2.19 - $3.59
Ziploc Brand Storage Slider Bags - $2.19 - $3.59
Ziploc Brand Containers with the Smart Snap Seal - $3.19

I just entered your Morris 9Lives Giveaway!!! You can store pet food in these containers! One large can of moist food is too much for our 2 lil' kitties to eat at one time. So we give out half and save it in a snap and seal container. Easy to pull out and give the other half later. We have one container marked "Cats"

A tip I like: To save time, make rice ahead in a big batch and freeze in meal-size portions in Ziploc® Brand Freezer Bags. At meal time, reheat the rice in the microwave oven with a teaspoon or two of water.

This is one of the listed tips that I do myself as well: Keeping the right bolts together - When I am takeing some thing apart that has bolts and screws I place them in side a Ziploc bag and mark on the bag what the parts are used for. That way all parts are all together and easyer to put together the next time.
