Take the Reuse Challenge and Save! (Not just money but the planet too!)
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Aladdin. All opinions are 100% mine.
Reusing is trendy! It's cool to have the neatest coffee mug, shopping bag, lunch box container or fabric napkin! No matter where you shop, stores are offering reusable bags, cups and possibly serving food on dishes that can be washed and reused instead of just being tossed! Many stores are also offering discounts for using reusable products - really that's encouragement for those that are used to the throw-away mentality! Aladdin is a company that offers so many great reusable products from mugs and lunch containers to water bottles, there are really a lot of great options!
Aladdin started the Do The Reuse Challenge to encourage people to give up disposables in exchange for discounts on their really cool reusable merchandise! By accepting the Do The Reuse Challenge you can save a little on Aladdin mugs, bottles and snack containers, which will help you save even more which is pretty neat! The Do The Reuse Challenge is a 30-day commitment to give up disposable paper cups, water bottles, or food containers. If you think about it, it's really worth it to take care of our environment today for our children tomorrow. Here are just a few of the statistics about using disposable items:
Seven million barrels of oil are used to produce the disposable bottles Americans go through in one year. In the United States, 50 billion disposable water bottles are consumed per year; 137,000 per day; 1,585 per second. It costs about $165 a year to make drip coffee at home versus $636 to buy drip coffee at your local café. Unless we change our habits, 23 billion paper coffee cups will be thrown out in 2010.
You can accept to take part in the Do The Reuse Challenge today! It's a great opportunity to take a step in the right direction! Move away from being a throw-away society to a re-use society today and see the impact we can make for our children's future! For me, we pack lunch everyday for work, take coffee in reusable cups and use fabric napkins and we're hoping that more people join us! Join Aladdin on Facebook to keep up with the Do The Reuse Challenge and more about new products!
