Free entrance to National Parks in honor of Veteran's Day - November 11th!

America’s Best Idea – the national parks – gets even better this year with several fee-free days at more than 100 national parks that usually charge entrance fees*.  Check this listing for parks in your state and plan a weekend outing for your family!

Mark your calendar for fee-free days this year:

■  April 17-25, 2010 (National Park Week)
■  June 5-6, 2010
■  August 14-15, 2010
■  September 25, 2010 (Public Lands Day)
■  November 11, 2010 (Veterans Day)

And to make the fun even more affordable, many national park concessioners are joining the National Park Service in welcoming visitors on this summer’s fee free weekends with the their own special offers.

Here’s a tip – many of your 392 national parks NEVER charge an entrance fee. So start Planning Your Visit!

*Fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.

Smucker's Uncrustables: Free Coupons Starting Tomorrow at Noon!


Tomorrow, Monday September 13, visit Smucker's Uncrustables at noon to submit an organizational tip or solution for the on-the-go mom or dad to receive a coupon by mail for one free box of Smucker’s® Uncrustables. The first 500 people to submit at noon ET will get the coupon. After the first day, they will announce varying start times for each day where the first 400 eligible registrants to submit a tip get a free coupon. Thanks to Tamona for letting me know about this great program!  Your kids will be set for the summer, especially if you combine this Half-Price Books Freebie with the Border's Reading Program Freebie! Kids 14 and under can earn a $3 shopping card to Half-Price Books for each day they read 15 minutes (limit one per week - and this time period covers 10 weeks....that's a lot of books at Half-Price Books)!
