Southern California Youth Relief Run for Japan with Josh Duhamel (#reliefrun)

In an effort to raise money for Japan, actor Josh Duhamel (“When in Rome,” “Transformers”) is hosting a 2-mile Relief Run in Santa Monica, CA this coming Sunday, March 27.  You can find all the details about the Relief Run, where to meet, entrance cost (only $10) with all fees going to the American Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Assistance Fund!

Even if you're not in Southern California, but may have readers that are, pass the word along and help raise money for Japan!  Josh Duhamel will be running alongside all the runners who come out to run this weekend!

Dear Blog...sorry I've been neglecting you...

Dear Blog,

Sorry you look so neglected lately...seems like life has gotten in the way and Blogger issues haven't helped much either recently!  The ice storms are over and the warm weather hit and for some reason being outside swinging on the swings and sliding down the slide took over!  I'm coming back this week...I've been behind....we need to talk about electric candles that helped us make it through the rolling blackouts, great ways to save on groceries, and eating healthy...Blog...we really need to talk...it's time we spent more time together!  Promise, I'll be back tomorrow once I can sleep off this migraine!

So blogger and I are having a fight....and it's not getting better!

I don't know that I'm ready to move to wordpress...don't know that I have the time to invest in learning a new platform...but blogger and I are having a fight!

For all those that stopped by for Surfin' Saturdays....I don't know why that didn't post today stating that today was Saturday...I posted it on Friday night...actually saw it post, then poof it disappeared and showed up again today!  I had 10-15 posts drafted and they are all gone...magically eaten by blogger...not the happiest camper right now!  Anyone else having issues or is this all me?  Ready to scream...finally getting things back in order in my life/health/etc, and blogger decides that I need to work twice as hard...annoying to say the least!

Starting the year on a clean slate...and what's to come!

If you've read my blog for very long at all, you know that I typically post Finding Me Mondays every Monday, but I haven't for the past couple weeks...that's more because I was frustrated with myself for not making changes.  I haven't decided exactly how I will continue, but I think I will make a monthly summary of my weight loss goals and how things are going in 2011.

Every Thursday, I write about Logan, our great dane, his antics and personality!  If I've got great pet products for review and/or giveaway, I try to feature those on Thursdays as well.  Don't worry, Logan loves to be talked about so he'll stay here!

Every Friday, I write about Cooking with Kids and try to feature kid-tested recipes.  I hope to continue this in 2011.  I know I've been bad about posting this the past couple of weeks mainly because I've been exhausted with the holidays and trying to make everything just perfect at home.

Saturdays I co-host Surfin' Saturdays and this will continue in 2011.  It's always fun, so if you haven't joined, feel free to join us!

I'm still hoping to feature other bloggers every week, but had some trouble with my previous form so I'll be reaching out to some of those that entered information to start featuring bloggers weekly.  Don't know which day, but this will start hopefully by February!

I'll continue reviews and giveaways as I get them and hope to have some great feature events as well this year!  If you have any amazing products you think I should review, let me know!  Thanks for your continued readership and following and looking forward to an amazing 2011!  Let me know if there's anything else you'd like to see....I'll try to answer some questions I've received in the past over the next couple weeks too!

What's your preference for entering giveaways? Please leave some feedback!

With the upcoming Healthy Families Happy Kids event and another event planned in December, I'd like to get an idea for your preference for entering giveaways so that it's easy for you to stop by and enter (I don't use CAPTCHA, so don't worry about that)!  Please answer the poll on the top right hand side by 9/28/10 at 8:00PM or leave a comment below letting me know your preference:

I like leaving comments below the post - then I know how many other people entered too!

I'd rather have a Google Form that I can enter all the info in and click submit and be done all at once!
(If I use a google form, I still plan to have multiple entries, it will just have multiple checkboxes when multiple entries apply, etc. and if you qualify for early extra entries, then there is a spot just for that - I just can't quick link to my twitter follow, facebook, etc. within the form so it will have to be in the post above)

Doesn't matter to me either way!

Check out Blogger Sentral - Anyone know how to fix html/css coding in the comments section?

Update:  Okay...if you are attempting to do this yourself...I got it to work so anyone can without totally screwing up their blogs!  Visit Blogger Sentral for some great tips and tricks if you're up for messing with your template html/css coding when it comes to numbering and such!  I also fixed my issue with only being able to display the first 200 comments with her tricks...yeah!  There are some other great tips too, but those were obviously my favorites tonight...off to bed now!

previous post-------Thanks for your patience!  I opted to avoid the complete redesign, but am having some issues with my comments...anyone know html/css well enough to look at my source code and tell me how I can get the ability to page through my comments when they exceed 200 without having to page through using the pop-up window?  I attempted to add a page new, page old code but it didn't seem to work...anyone with thoughts or places to go and look...I'd appreciate your thoughts..  Thanks!

Missouri, Texas and New Mexico (I'm a west of the Mississippi River kinda girl!)

Jewelry Making - not beading, but actual silver casting and starting to learn the art of fused and slumped glass design

I like it and I haven't read it long enough to change something! :)  We're new bloggy friends...gotta test the water still...I can't be completely honest yet!  It's like dating :)
