You definitely want to see Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides coming out May 20!

After a weekend marathon watching the first three Pirates of the Caribbean, we had the opportunity to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean:  On Stranger Tides last night in 3-D.  Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Rob Marshall, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” captures the fun, adventure and humor that ignited the hit franchise—this time in Disney Digital 3D™.  Johnny Depp returns to his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow in an action-packed adventure (definitely no disappointment here, as always, he was amazing in this role).  Crossing paths with the enigmatic Angelica (Penélope Cruz), he’s not sure if it’s love—or if she’s a ruthless con artist who’s using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the “Queen Anne’s Revenge,” the ship of the legendary pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know whom to fear more: Blackbeard or Angelica, with whom he shares a mysterious past (but don't worry, you'll find out more before the end of the movie and won't be left wondering about their relationship).  I don't want to ruin the storyline for you, so I'll leave it there!

The international cast includes franchise vets Geoffrey Rush as the vengeful Captain Hector Barbossa and Kevin R. McNally as Captain Jack’s longtime comrade Joshamee Gibbs, plus Sam Claflin as a stalwart missionary and Astrid Bergès-Frisbey as a mysterious mermaid.  For a little teaser, check out the trailer and be ready to hit the theaters this weekend!  Pirates of the Caribbean:  On Stranger Tides comes out on May 20th, but will be showing at midnight Thursday in select cities for those wanting to be first to see it!

Disclosure:  We received free admission to see the new Pirates of the Caribbean:  On Stranger Tides during a screening event for the media and a few lucky members of the public!  No additional compensation was received!

Nutrish for your dog! and a free sample opportunity!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Nutrish for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Rachael Ray Nutrish just 6 dry dog food doesn't contain any corn, wheat or soy.  Lamb meal is the number one ingredient, followed by five other wholesome ingredients (like brown rice, ground rice, dried beet pulp, poultry fat, and chicken flavor).  And Nutrish Just 6 has all the added vitamins your dog needs to keep him healthy and happy!

Logan had the opportunity to try a sample of Nutrish and really liked it!  We liked that the first ingredient is lamb meal, Logan just liked the taste!  He was happy to taste the Just 6 food, and I'm sure it seemed like a treat to him because he gobbled it down pretty quickly.  With the added vitamins he needs to keep him healthy, I'm sure we will try this food out again when his current supply runs out!  We just wish it came in bigger bags, since we normally purchase 40-lbs at a time with Logan's appetite (he is a great dane after all)!  He also wishes the bites were a little larger to help clean his teeth while he eats because the crunching really helps and these are tiny bites for such a large dog!  His paws are crossed that a large breed formula is developed soon!

If you'd like to try Nutrish with your pet, you can request your own free sample before buying a larger bag shipped to your house!  As you can see from the picture below, we teased Logan for a little bit!  He was trying to decide if the bag of food was food or a treat!  To him it was a treat, to us it was food but he really liked it and he can be a pretty picky eater!

In addition to being good food for your pet, all proceeds from the sale of Nutrish benefit charities that take care of animals that otherwise would have no one caring for them!  So you are not only feeding your dog wholesome food, but you are also helping other pets looking for their forever homes!

Eventually you see yourself the way others see you...

...and you realize that you will never truly be happy in your current body....at least that's what has happened for me!  I am starting on a new journey of weight loss, healthy eating, and exercise in hopes of finally weighing less than my husband and being able to keep up with my kids!

I received the most thoughtful gift from my son (he made it at preschool with this note attached about why I was special), but there was one thing that really struck me...in the eyes of my 4-year old, my favorite thing to do was "rest"...I don't ever want him to answer the same question like that again...couldn't it have been working on the computer, gardening...anything but rest?

Next time I want him to say exercising, playing with me, or at least something more active!

I started this process a year ago and never truly took hold of who I was becoming until I saw myself in the pictures we took at Disney World!  I had been behind the camera so long that I was rarely in the pictures.  Today was the first day of the start to a whole new me!

I started my diet through Medi-Weightloss, we planted a garden, and set up training sessions with a personal trainer twice a week.  This time I will succeed and we will be changing habits as a family so it never comes back this time!  Just know that if I don't post for a couple days, its probably because I am exhausted from dieting, exercising, gardening, and trying to prove to my kids that I enjoy more than just resting....because, someday I won't need as much and I'll be able to keep up with them.

Weight has been a struggle for me, but I am determined to eat when I need to, be happy feeling a little hungry...and exercise as much as possible.  This time, I'll try to document my process of Finding Myself because I know that this time I will make it to my goal even if it finally means putting myself first over everything else!  I can now look in the mirror and see myself the way others see me and I'm not happy with it, so I know I will win at it this time...I just know I will win this time!  Fingers and toes crossed that I make it through week one without a snag, then I will be on it for the long stretch of meeting my goal of finally being healthy enough to keep up with two little boys!

Milk-Bone Healthy Favorites & Mini's The perfect treat for your puppy (no matter what age)!

Milk-Bone Healthy Favorites™, are oven-baked dog treats containing all-natural ingredients with added minerals, without any fillers, animal by-products, artificial colors or artificial preservatives. The Milk-Bone Healthy Favorites ingredient list is short, so pet parents don’t have to be scientists to understand what they’re feeding their beloved pet.

Milk-Bone Healthy Favorites™ incorporates exciting new flavors into the treats, like savory real beef, sweet potatoes, carrots, and rolled oats that you can easily see right in the dog snack. With these new snacks, Milk-Bone®, a brand that has been trusted for over 100 years, is giving pet parents a delicious, healthy treat for their furry friends.

Logan's thoughts:
Yummy!  Do I have to pick which kind to try first?  I love taste tasting....and since I'm a great dane, I can try extras just to make sure I give you a good review.  These are some truly tasty treats.  The granola biscuits were super yummy....I only dropped one on the floor and I'm normally pretty clumsy when it comes to treats!  My mommy liked that these were filled with good stuff for me, and I just liked how they tasted, plus they were crunchy and that helps my teeth!  I am always a sucker for chewy treats, and these Milk-Bone Healthy Favorites were no exception.  I tried biscuits first because mommy knew I would gobble these up!  I still chewed but that was just to taste the yummy flavor...10 minutes later I was still licking my lips!  Good stuff.  I have already added these to the shopping list for a refill! (I was too fast for a picture - grab and go)!

Buy these yummy treats!
These healthy treats add to the already dynamic selection of Milk-Bone® dog snacks. The new Milk-Bone Healthy Favorites dog snacks product line includes:

·         Oven-baked Granola Biscuits (18oz box) SRP $3.59
o   Beef Flavor: made with real beef, whole wheat flour, carrots, rolled oats and flaxseed
o   Chicken Flavor: made with real chicken, whole wheat flour, sweet potatoes, rolled oats and flaxseed
·         Oven-baked Chewy Treats (5oz SURP) SRP $2.99
o   Beef Flavor: made with real beef, apples, carrots and rolled oats
o   Chicken Flavor: made with real chicken, apples, sweet potatoes and rolled oats

Milk-Bone® Mini’s dog snacks feature the same teeth cleaning benefits and vitamin fortified goodness that comes with original Milk-Bone® dog biscuits, but in a miniature version, with less than five calories per treat. Each biscuit is one inch long, an ideal size for both training and weight control.

Each box of Milk-Bone® Mini’s dog snacks contains more than 200 biscuits, making these snacks a great option for pet parents who are teaching new tricks to their furry friends, or just want to treat more often and worry less about their pet’s waistline.

Logan's thoughts:
Do I really only get one?  I was still able to chew these, well two crunches in my big mouth, but I love Milk-Bones and these are perfect for teaching this old dog new tricks...or reminding me that I am supposed to stay when I'm out in the front yard and other dogs walk by!  I'll take a bribe in Milk-Bone Minis any day, but I think I should share these with some of my smaller dog friends because they would be perfect for little mouths!  I could eat a whole bowl of these at my size, but they are perfect for training and the kids can give me treats more often so mommy liked that!  I get spoiled 5 calories at a time and that's okay with me!  (you can see the mini alongside a Healthy Naturals Chewy Treat and a Granola Biscuit!)

Buy It!
The mini treats are available in two flavors: Original and Flavor Snacks (Chicken, Bacon and Beef Flavors). The 15-ounce box has a retail suggest price of $3.09 and is in stores now!.  For more information on Milk-Bone® Mini’s dog snacks,  visit Milkbone.com

It's Okay....deep thoughts with a toddler!

The ultimate in mother's day - Deep Thoughts with a Toddler!

As I leaned across my 4-year old in the backseat to reset the anchor for my 2-year olds car seat, he said "It's okay if you squish me today mom!  It's mother's day!"  At least now I know that on other days, squishing is prohibited!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone! (One day late because blogger never posted my post yesterday)!

Deep Thoughts with a Preschooler...

As I was getting ready this morning, my 4-year old and looked at me with a very puzzled face and said, "What is that stuff mommy?"  I was putting on make-up, and proceeded with, "make-up, but don't worry, you're a boy so you'll never have to worry about putting on make-up!"

His response:  "Good, cause that looks really hard!"

Some conversations just make you smile!
