Money Saving Mondays: Inexpensive Summer Fun!
Continuing series of Money Saving Mondays! I love to save money, post deals, and just in general make my dollar stretch a little further so keep up with me on Mondays for some easy ways to save money!
Today let’s discuss inexpensive ways to enjoy summer with your family and friends!
• Library hop! Most have programs during the summer and there is probably more than one in your community or local area. If you have young children, many also have a toddler time!
• Have "camp" at home. Spend a week going to different parks or trying new outdoor activities. Plan it out so it seems like an adventure. If you have a tent and sleeping bags, set them up in the living room, or if it’s not too hot, the backyard! You’ll be surprised how excited your kids will be to have a living room campout!
• Host a film festival. Invite the neighbors over for a Disney movie viewing marathon. Get movie snacks and make popcorn.
• Throw a splash day party! Inflate the pools, throw out a slip and slide, and get out the sprinkler. Don’t forget to have frozen treats on hand too!
• Read your local town paper, or the papers of close by towns to see if they will host any parades, festivals or concerts at their parks or any other venue. Depending on how tech-savvy your community is, search the internet for upcoming activities too!

I remember when my kids were little we did a splash party a couple of times... they had such fun, and so did we (the mom's) because as they played, we got to chat and eat & drink grown up snacks.
We also went to local museums that had special events for children, many of them on dinosaurs, which my boys really loved.
