Music Review: Harry Connick Jr., Your Songs
Thanks again to One2One Network! This time I had the opportunity to review the brand new CD from Harry Connick Jr. title Your Songs. I am so used to seeing Harry Connick Jr. on TV that I forget that he is a musician! This CD is definitely a reminder of that! Although the songs are remakes of some of the best love songs ever, there is definitely a touch of Harry Connick Jr. in each beautifully performed song! Your Songs consists of Connick singing familiar songs with a full Jazz big band and string orchestra, and, as with nearly all of Harry's previous albums, he wrote each of the orchestrations himself. I highlighted my favorite tracks below!
Album Tracklisting (Originally performed by):
All The Way (Frank Sinatra)
Just The Way You Are (Billy Joel)
Can’t Help Falling In Love With You (Elvis Presley)
And I Love Her (The Beatles)
(They Long To Be) Close To You (The Carpenters)
Besame Mucho
The Way You Look Tonight
First Time Ever I Saw Your Face (Roberta Flack)
Your Song (Elton John)
Some Enchanted Evening
And I Love You So (Don McLean)
Who Can I Turn To? (Tony Bennett)
Smile (Charlie Chaplin)
Mona Lisa (Nat King Cole)
Thanks again to One2One Network! Although the CD was free, the review is mine personally! Don't worry, I will let you know when I really don't like something :)
