Since money is tighter than ever these days we were unable to join the community pool this summer. To beat the heat, I purchased a plastic pool for $8, and I keep it on our back deck. We fill it up with fresh water every 3 or 4 days. The kids, dogs and I get in it and splash around, sometimes having water fights! Its a great, easy and inexpensive way to beat the heat!
My almost 4 year old is currently in a full body cast from breaking his femur and when it comes off in 5 weeks we are taking a grill down to Lake Michigan and having a huge beach party.
we are heading to Canada to see the grandparents! woo hoo. plus lots of outside time!

This summer we went camping in our living room with our two young kids. We turned the couches around and draped a big blanket over them. My 3 year old daughter wouldn't hardly go to sleep. We will probably do it again.
We will be checking out free concerts and movies in the park! Thankfully, there is always something along those lines going on in this town. We just need to bring a blanket and pack a picnic, it is awesome!

We are finding all kinds of deals this summer...FREE movies each week, FREE food (at Arby's every Wed, coffee drinks at McD's Mondays, meals at Chickfila this Fri, taco at LJS Tues...and use coupons for other restaurants too...my kids think we are living large)...also using LOTS of deals+coupons for getting snack food way cheap for our camping trip to N GA this month.
