Basketball hoop and kick-kicks!
It's Saturday, so that meant that we started the morning at the Lowe's Build and Grow workshop building a tabletop basketball set. I only got my finger smashed once while holding the nail (that should get some kind of award right there)! Then we rushed from Lowe's to the YMCA where we take both boys to swim lessons (hence kick-kicks!).
Despite both boys being in grumpy moods (our 2.5 year old had his first in-store meltdown at Lowe's this morning) and our 9 month old is getting more teeth so he just isn't sleeping well (okay correct that to screaming all night unless being held), they were both really excited to get in the pool! Luckily for us, it's an indoor pool which still feels cold eventhough it's much warmer than the 38 degrees it has been outside!
We kicked, blew bubbles (spit water at mommy and daddy), splashed (blinded mommy and daddy with water), and played in the big mushroom! Our kids love their instructor because she always turns on the big waterfall for us at the end of class. Too be honest, we had gone to the YMCA pool for over 6 months and had never seen the big mushroom work, so we just assumed it was broken! Now that waterfall mushroom and the sprays from the side of the pool make every Saturday morning feel like we're at a mini waterpark! Not bad for a 30-minute lesson!
