Eyebuydirect.com Review and Giveaway ($100 pair of Rx Glasses)!

This giveaway has ended! Thanks for visiting!
With eyeglasses (frame and single vision lenses) starting at $7.95, you really can’t go wrong (you’ll add $19 for bi-focal lenses)! Although the selection may be limited compared to what you might find at an optometrist, there is enough selection to find something that will fit you and the prices can’t be beat (and they keep adding more all the time)! Although the selection available at $7.95 is limited, there are a lot of glasses available at $17.95! Visit EyeBuyDirect and take a look around!

I don’t wear glasses, so when I was given the opportunity to review the site and the glasses by EyeBuyDirect, we ordered them for my hubby! We had a lot of fun with the EyeTry tool! Although it was a little confusing at first to get his head the right size to “try” on the glasses, it does make it easier to pick out which frames will look best on you! There were a lot of options for the style of glasses he tends to like. His favorites were the Rome, Plasma and Strike (pictured in order below):

Here is my hubby trying on his three favorite men’s glasses. This first pic is the Rome in Gunmetal, the second pic is the Plasma in Bronze, and the third pic is the Strike in Gun. We ordered the Strike in gunmetal, and with his upgrades to his lenses, the cost was $71.85. We added anti-reflective, UV coating, and upgraded his lenses to Thin and Lite due to his prescription (you aren’t required to do this, but it is recommended for those with higher prescriptions to avoid the thick bottle look).

We only had one problem while completing our purchase at the site, but I have been guaranteed that they are aware of it – so what was it? The site checkout didn’t appear to be secure, so I used Paypal instead which worked perfectly (so what was I paying for? My hubby needed new sport goggles for racquetball, so we ordered those at the same time)! The glasses came about two weeks after we ordered them which I thought was very acceptable for the cost. In order to order glasses online, you will need your pupillary distance, something that is not always given on your prescription, so make sure you ask for it! My hubby says he really likes his new glasses. They were a little smaller than what we thought based on the “Eye Try” tool, but they are lightweight and fit him nicely!

So what does an $8 pair of glasses really look like? I thought this pair named “Nutmeg” was really cute!

Each pair of glasses comes with a free case, cleaning cloth, and anti-scratch coating regardless of whether you spend $8 or $100! Can’t wait to purchase? Enter the code IFFIMA3BIY during checkout to receive 10% off your order! This would be a great purchase for Father’s Day and each purchase comes with 100% satisfaction guaranteed!

Okay, onto the Giveaway! EyeBuyDirect wanted to give my readers the opportunity to try out their glasses too, so I will be giving away a pair of prescription glasses (up to $100 in value, excludes designer frames and sunglasses)! You will choose the frame and then add the options that fit you best and EyeBuyDirect will cover the cost up to $100! You will need your most recent prescription in order to complete your purchase!

The giveaway is open to US residents only! You do not need to be a blogger to win, but make sure I can easily find your e-mail address. If I don’t know how to get a hold of you, you can’t win! This giveaway will end on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 7:00PM Central! To enter this giveaway, you must do the first thing in order for any additional entries to count! (and if you don’t follow the rules, then I won’t be able to include you in the giveaway, and they are easy rules).

1) You must do this to be included in the giveaway! Visit EyeBuyDirect, look around, and leave me a comment with the name of the pair of glasses you would pick if you won and why you really need a new pair of glasses! It cannot be any of the frames discussed in the product review. If those happen to be your favorite, you must name a second pair as well!
2) For a second entry, visit EyeBuyDirect and post your “Eye Try” photo with your favorite frames to the Wall of Frame and leave a comment with a link to your “Eye Try” photo!
3) For a third entry, visit EyeBuyDirect and leave a comment on someone’s photo on the Wall of Frame (only nice comments please) and you must be logged in to leave a comment! Come back and let me know the name of the person you commented on or link to their page!
4) For a fourth entry, make a purchase from EyeBuyDirect before the end of this giveaway, and leave me a comment letting me know you did!
5) For a fifth entry, subscribe or follow this blog (in the upper left hand corner). If you are already a subscriber or follower, just remind me so you are counted! If you subscribe, you must complete the process (I will check!).

My favorite is the Donna in black! They're so cute! I last got glasses 3 years ago when I was pregnant and I got really cheap ones because I knew I'd wreck them during late night feedings and the like (which I did)! So I desperately need a new pair. Thanks for the great giveaway!

I like the elbert. I love the fun blue or orange but don't know if I'm bold enough for those or not. I have put off buying new glasses for the last six months and winning would be the push I need. Maybe to even be bold!!

I'd try the Suzie. It's looks fun and funky. I need a new pair of eyeglasses because my prescription has changed and I really need to update my look to something more modern. I've always wanted to try purchasing online. This site has so many choices at very affordable prices!

I really like the Hattie bifocals in Pink. I need new glasses so bad. I got a new prescription several months ago, but since we do not have optical insurance I have put off getting new glasses. It would be so nice to be able to see with some new cute glasses!

Thank you for the giveaway. My sons glasses broke and I would use this for a new pair in the frame of his choice. He is 11 1/2 years old and very picky about his glasses so I'd let him choose and he isn't available right here to choose, I hope this doesn't DQ me. He has had 3 pairs of glasses in the last year but, they keep breaking!

I think I like the echo the best. There are so many great frames to choose from.

I'd love to win a new pair of glasses. I don't have eye insurance anymore so it's been about 8 years since my last pair of glasses.

I like the Donna. I need new glasses because my eyes are getting worse and I'm going to school.

I really like the Devils in the Rose color...I tend to gravitate towards red glasses!

i really like the cloud in green. and in pink.

and i need new glasses so badly it's disturbing. i've had the same prescription for 5 years, since i haven't had eye insurance, and didn't know you could get glasses this cheap anywhere!

and to make it better, one of the arms is held together with superglue, and when it's not on my head, the left arm is nearly parallel to lenses. lol.

Because our insurance will only cover contacts or glasses, I've only been updating my contacts. I could definitely use this to get some updated glasses! I love the Cloud style, very funky.

I like the Screen in black. I could really use a pair of glasses because the ones I'm currently wearing were broken by my 18 mo old. It's chipped AND missing a nose piece!

I love the carmen style glasses. I wear glasses everyday and sometimes I feel like I stand out, but contacts just don't work for me and lasix is too expensive I'd love to stand out in a good way!
