Finding Me Mondays: "Mommy, you have a big butt!"
This week's weigh in (no scale available, so I'll assume no change since my clothes fit the same as last week although I don't feel as good this week with all the diet soda)! I haven't taken pictures yet, except with my kids and I use them to hide me normally, but I will and measurements when I can figure out where my boys put the tape measure! Still avoiding the camera but my husband keeps threatening..so soon there will be pics - promise!
Monday, June 21st: 203.5 lbs, Size 14
Monday, June 28th: 200.0 lbs, Size 14
Monday, July 5th: 196.5 lbs, Size 14 (fitting a little looser)
Monday, July 12th: 196.5 lbs, Size 14 (fitting like last week)
This week I drank diet soda because I could only find sweet tea for sale and didn't have a chance to make my own regular iced tea. I watched my diet but ate desserts in moderation with my kids and skipped the extra calories when I could (like when they were snacking but I wasn't really hungry). I was hungrier this week - guessing it's the diet soda...ready for plain iced tea and water again!
I did a lot of walking this week, but it still didn't lessen the pain when my almost 4-year old told me, "Mommy, you have a big butt!"...it's amazing how honest (and mean) they can be without truly meaning it! It struck a nerve...he got a time-out, I took a deep breath to avoid breaking down in tears and reminded myself that part of this journey is to be a thinner mommy...it's not all about me! My kids aren't even old enough to care or know what it means...but I want to feel good in a swimsuit at the waterpark when someone grabs a camera to take a picture. I don't want to hide behind the kids, a beach towel, or the camera forever!
I'm motivated to lose the weight...and ready to drop another 20 lbs so that hopefully my heart arrythmia will stop inhibiting my ability to exercise the way I want too! I am ready to be able to once again climb more than two flights of stairs without getting extremely dizzy...that will be the first sign of improvement!
The red dress hangs prominently in my closest (it blocks all my pants) so I have to look at it every day....it will continue to be my motivation! I am guessing even more motivation will ensue with wearing a swimsuit with my kids at the beach in the next couple of weeks (I dread those days right now, but I don't want to for long)!

Well, I wrote my first post. It is a separate page and is under About Me. I just can't figure out how to make a new post that will have a separate link area and comment area. I will figure it out later. I also almost forgot to include your link. I will make a button when I get a chance. Tamona with Tamona's Tips has a weight loss diary. She says some funny things and I told her about your link up so that maybe she would join us.
Hi. NIce to meet you. I am stopping by from the blog hop. Good job with your weight loss so far.
I tried to diet in July and with the Fourth and THREE family birthdays it was been tough!
Hang in there!
