We live in Texas, need I say more? We BBQ all the time and are always trying out new BBQ sauce. I was a little apprehensive about trying Herman T's BBQ Sauce mix when it arrived because you have to mix it yourself (meaning add water and ketchup and heat it up on the stove)...but what that also means is that you can make a lot of sauce with each mix pack (one pouch of mix makes 3/4 gallon of BBQ sauce)! I received a pack or original "mild" and spicy "hot" and we mixed both up to slather on BBQ ribs this past weekend (sorry I forgot to take pics - mainly because my fingers were covered in BBQ sauce and the ribs were gone by the time my fingers were clean)!

This is some good BBQ sauce mix. What I really like (regardless of my initial apprehension) is that you can mix it up yourself, so if you need it a little thicker you can reduce the level of water. If you can't take the heat, you can add a little more ketchup. We even tried it as a dry rub on chicken and it turned out really yummy! You can make as much as you want when you mix it up and it will keep in the fridge, but I can say it tastes great warm off the stove!  This sauce has a great flavor, not too spicy, not too much tomato flavor, and not too salty!
