Review & Giveaway: Near East Products, a great online contest, and my in-home party! - 2 winners

I love throwing parties to talk about great products and Near East Roasted Garlic and Olive Oil Couscous falls into that category now too! We love getting our friends together to try out new things, so last night we had some friends over for a Near East Party. I cooked up some great food and we sampled an array of hummus, olives, and wines while eating too! Here are some great pictures from the party and the couscous:

The great gift bags for the guests!

The couscous was easy to make, once the water/olive oil/seasoning packet mixture was boiling, you stir in the couscous and remove from the heat and cover.  It turned out light and fluffy!  My two young kids devoured theirs and asked for seconds and thirds!  This will definitely be staying as a side in our house!

The food....and this is only a sampling!  I never cook just enough for the guests, we will be eating leftovers for a few days!  It was definitely yummy and the couscous was a great addition to the meal!

You can find Near East couscous, rice pilaf, and couscous pearls at your grocery store.  We've had the rice pilaf before, but I was always afraid of overcooking couscous, so hadn't purchased it!  This couscous is easy to cook, it takes less than 5 minutes and you really don't have to do much, stir it in, and let it sit!  The picture above shows two boxes of couscous (each box makes three cups when prepared)!  In addition to great products, Near East is also holding a contest online that you should definitely enter (and come back and make me jealous if you win!)!  Enter the Near East Around the World in Five Minutes contest before August 31st to win!  There are also bonus entry chances online!  Check it out now!  You could win the grand prize of a Mediterranean Culinary Adventure Cruise or a great monthly prize!
