More than ever our children are experiencing the consequences of unhealthy eating habits, lack of physical activity and the continual bombardment of dangerous toxins from our ever-changing environment. According to the USDA, poor nutrition (ie: eating too much fat, sugar & sodium, and not eating enough fruits & vegetables) affects student' performance in school by decreasing energy levels, ability to concentrate, and ability to learn, not to mention increased illness.
