Review: SnackTAXI Reusable Sandwich & Snack Bags
In trying to teach my kids to protect the environment, one opportunity is in the amount of trash that we create! We pack lunch every day for work and my son takes lunch to preschool so that previously meant lots of plastic baggies. Plastic baggies still have their place in our home for messier snacks or cut up fruits that don’t fit in reusable plastic containers, but SnackTAXI comes in really handy for dry snacks like crackers, chips, and cookies! We also use the larger bag for non-messy sandwiches! The exterior of a SnackTAXI is comprised of 100% cotton, and the interior is lined with polyurethane coated nylon so it’s perfectly suited for messier treats, I’m just not that brave when I pack a 4-year olds lunch! Don't worry, your food won't fall out of these bags, they fold closed!
SnackTAXI bags are machine washable (you know I love that) and come in so many fabric choices, you’re sure to find one you and your kids will love! Many reusable cloth bags have top Velcro closures, but SnackTAXI has a nice fold-over design with Velcro on the front which is perfect for small hands! SnackTAXIs are easy to fill, the large envelope style flap stays closed in a lunch bag, and ours have held up well after many trips to the washing machine!
SnackTAXIs were developed by a mom, Erin Kelly-Dill, who saw a need to stop using plastic baggies when her kids started school in 2003. They are made in the USA by local sewers in their workshop and they promise to never outsource their products! Like SnackTAXI on Facebook to keep up with all the new products and find out about new fabrics!
