Review & Giveaway: Tropical Traditions Raw Honey & Coconut Oil - CLOSED
Tropical Traditions offers so many great products for a healthy lifestyle! I'm so happy that I could include them in my Healthy Families, Happy Kids event! I was given the opportunity to review Tropical Traditions Organic Raw Canadian Honey. The honey has a thick, slightly grainy texture that is between a standard processed honey and a creamed or whipped honey. It is easily spreadable on toast or biscuits but readily dissolves in coffee or tea. The honey is light-colored and is mildly flavored. Its mild flavor makes it ideal for either “raw” or regular recipes since it contributes a honey flavor, but its flavor is not so strong that it competes with other flavors.
Raw honey is honey that is minimally processed and may contain pollen and wax particles. It is not filtered or heat pasteurized like most honeys in the grocery store. Honey is a natural energy enhancer because its sweetness comes from glucose and fructose which are quickly absorbed by the body. It is sweeter than an equivalent amount of sugar so that you will need to use less. Tropical Traditions Organic Raw Canadian Honey is sourced from the frontier areas of Canada to control their bees' access to non-organic plant sources.
I recently reviewed Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil and they would like to send one lucky reader a 32-ounce jar of virgin coconut oil! Stop by and read my previous review if you have any questions or want my honest opinion about cooking with coconut oil!
