Review: Garden of Eatin' Popped Tortilla Chips!
When it comes to finding healthier foods for my family and my kids, I never really thought about the chips we eat because those are always a side dish to a meal that I've put a lot of thought into making healthy and in the big picture it didn't seem like it would matter that much! I know it doesn't really make sense, but that was until I was introduct to Garden of Eatin’™ Popped Tortilla Chips!
Garden of Eatin’™ Popped Tortilla Chips are "popped" to perfection in an innovative process for a uniquely lighter texture and taste than regular tortilla chips. Because they're popped and not fried or baked, Garden of Eatin'™ Popped Tortilla Chips contain only 3 grams of fat and 18 grams of whole grains per one ounce serving. Garden of Eatin’™ Popped Tortillas are made with wholesome ingredients from the Garden of Eatin’™ garden: Organic white corn, Whole grain brown rice, Whole grain quinoa, Sesame seeds, Flaxseeds, and Expeller pressed oil!
We received two bags of Garden of Eatin’™ Popped Tortilla Chips to try and I can say these are pretty amazing both plain and with just about any dip you feel like using! Our boys first looked at the chips and asked what the little brown things were (flaxseeds), but after that there was no turning back! The chips are lightly salted and evenly coated! Each bag has three servings of chips, so it's perfect for our family with two young kids and two adults! We typically use one bag for two meal side dish accompaniments and it works out perfectly! Not only have we used these chips with salsa and guacamole, we've also used it in the place of pita chips when the stores were sold out for hummus!
Garden of Eatin’™ makes a variety of organically grown, great tasting chips including blue corn tortilla (my favorite, but can be hard to find), flavored chips that just look yummy (I really want to try Maui Onion and Beet & Garlic), and a large variety of baked chips too! Now that we've tried the popped tortillas, I've noticed Garden of Eatin’™ in my grocery store more often and have noticed the labels on the chips I've bought for so many years!
